DATGANIAD BYR AM Y GWAITH:

Dyma gorff o waith bychain mewn maint cyntaf Angharad Pearce Jones, sydd mwy adnabyddus am weithiau gosod enfawr. Mae Angharad yn cynnal eu gwaith creadigol personol,  trwy weithio fel gof a ffabrigydd metel i’r cwmni Haearn – Designer Blacksmiths Ltd

Yn ystod ei diwrnod gweithiol, mae hi wedi mynd ati i gasglu ac i ail ffurfio’r man wastraff o gwmpas y gweithdy metel, i greu gweithiau celf bychain. Tra bo rhai angen elfen o greadigaeth i’w trawsnewid, creodd eraill eu hunain Ffurfiwydun o lwch dur ar y wal tu ol i’r torrwr, dros gyfnod o chew mlynedd.

Wedi derbyn gorchymyn i dorri ei cherdiau credydd a’u danfon yn nol, creodd Angharad waith celf ohonynt yn lle, a’i alw’n Credit Crunch. Mae’r tameidiau bychain wedi eu hail ffurfio i faint union cerdyn credydd.

 

SHORT STATEMENT ABOUT THE WORK:

Accustomed to producing large scale installations, this is the first body of smaller works produced by Angharad Pearce Jones. Angharad supports her creative practice by working as a blacksmith/metal fabricator, for Haearn-Designer Blacksmiths Ltd.

During the course of her working day, she has collected and re-modelled some of the detritus and waste products of the metal workshop, forming them into small scale works of art. One work formed itself over a period of six years, from layers of iron dust congealed on the workshop wall, behind the metal disc cutter.

Credit Crunch was developed from a request by credit card companies to “cut up your cards and send them back to us “ . Angharad decided to hold on to them and produce a work of art instead. The individual cut pieces have been re-formed into the exact scale of a credit card.
